Precision Agriculture (Minor Only)

The precision agriculture minor is for students who desire an understanding of how remote-sensing and geographic information system (GIS) techniques can be applied in the context of site-specific crop management. It will support the IANR strategic plan priority focused on sustainable food, fiber, and natural resource systems that support a bio-based economy. The minor will also provide an opportunity for students to receive documented, in-depth training regarding sensing systems and the integration and analysis techniques of geospatial information for crop management at the sub-field level.
