Urban Forestry (Minor Only)

The urban forestry minor is designed to serve the needs of students who desire academic training that will enable them to pursue careers in urban forest management, arboriculture, urban wildland interface management, green infrastructure industry, and other related fields not currently offered by College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Field experiences and a capstone course will help students integrate the wide array of coursework taken during their program of study. An emphasis on internships with partners, including state agencies, regional companies, and nonprofits, will draw on interdisciplinary linkages within the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and will capitalize on strong partnerships with state agencies, nonprofits, and the private sector to enhance experiential learning opportunities.
