Gain valuable project assistance, relationship building, and event coordinating experience in a fun and spirited environment. This micro-internship will empower you to learn more about working in higher education and for a nonprofit organization.
As the Alumni Engagement and Events Intern, you’ll help support the university and engage current students and our worldwide alumni family. This position will assist with event planning and implementation, project coordination, relationship building for a variety of alumni association programs and events. The candidate must be available four (4) hours per week, schedule is flexible and can include some evenings and weekends if desired.
This micro-internship is primarily an in-person experience with some flexibility for remote working.
Preferred start date is February 7, 2022. The micro-internship will conclude before spring break (March 11, 2022).
Desired skills include:
- Consideration will only be given to students participating in the Nebraska Micro-Internship and Mentoring Program through University Career Services
- Knowledge of event planning and project coordination
- Effective time management skills
- Detail orientated
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to always maintain a high level of professionalism
- Willingness to research and learn
