My name is Rachael Lange, and I’m a graduate from Raymond, Nebraska with majors in Philosophy and Russian and a minor in Global Studies. I recently graduated from the university after finishing my thesis. Throughout the summer of 2022, I completed the Critical Languages Scholarship program to gain immersive experience in Russian, refine the skills I’ve learned at the university, and begin building cultural bridges in this important language. As a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Georgia, I hope to continue working towards these goals. I believe that communicating with people in their native language increases empathy, understanding, and kinship. After returning from Georgia, I plan to attend law school.
