Jaela Hardin, a graduate of Gering High School, has been awarded a Fulbright Research Award to Costa Rica. As a psychology major and Spanish minor, she applied for the Fulbright program in order to dive deeper into the research within her field, gain increased exposure to the Spanish language, and create connections relevant to her intended international research career. Jaela is a Regent’s Scholar, an Honors Program student, and the Vice President of PSI CHI, an international psychology honors society. She also works at a local nonprofit, the Malone Community Center, and is involved in on-campus research at the University of Nebraska. When she returns from Costa Rica, she plans to pursue a PhD in psychology.
