Andrew Haar of Lincoln has been awarded a fellowship from the German Academic Exchange grant to pursue a master’s degree in mathematics at the University of Bonn. This program is well-suited for Haar because of its strong foundation in pure math (analysis and differential equations) –this emphasis is rare at other American and German universities.

As an undergraduate at UNL, Haar had the opportunity to study math abroad at the University of Leipzig, also benefiting his German minor. He has also been involved in university-supported research under various Professors of Mathematics.
