Job Description: This position is for a graduate student research assistant for a longitudinal study on how restrictive immigration and health policy shape immigrant young adult’s reproductive goals using in-depth interviews and surveys at the CU College of Nursing. The preferred candidate had previous experience working on research projects Work will be performed under the supervision of CU Nursing faculty member Dr. Kate Coleman-Minahan.
The student research assistant’s duties will include transcribing and editing qualitative interviews, assists with participant recruitment, including designing flyers and outreach to organizations in Colorado and Arizona, monitors and records national and state-level reproductive health and immigration policy changes and media attention, assists with qualitative coding and analysis, depending on research experience and helps organize community advisory boards, depending on project timing. The total work commitment for the student research assistant is expected to be 5-20 hours per week.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Currently enrolled at least half-time as a graduate student in public health, sociology, anthropology, psychology or other health or social science at an accredited higher education institution.
- Must be in good academic standing and cannot be in violation with any University policies or standards.

Length of Employment: 5 hours per week for Spring Semester 2024; There is an opportunity to continue during the summer 2024 for 5-20 hours per week depending on student interest and project needs
Pay Range: $19-20 per hour depending on level of research experience
