This student position is a remote/work from home position. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.
When you start your career in a student position with Daktronics, you’ll put your classroom knowledge to the test in a professional setting. You’ll provide technical support for customers with Daktronics products and solutions, where you’ll troubleshoot complex issues, create plans of action for onsite service, advise on part replacement, and provide operational assistance, amongst other diverse responsibilities.
We provide a complete and fully remote training on our products and solutions. Through the training you’ll be paired with a mentor who will guide and challenge you to find solutions to technical issues. During your employment with us you can develop proficiency with the following skills.

Pay and Perks
The typical hiring pay for this position is $13.50/hour to $14.25/hour. The actual pay offer will carefully consider an array of factors including relevant education, professional experiences, geographic location, and applicable local legislation.
Students with GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed.

Qualifications
Academic Requirements:
- The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits and working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Networking, or other Technical related degree.
- Evidence of strong academic performance.
- Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
- Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.
Other Requirements:
- Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, self-motivated.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Experience with either phone support or troubleshooting electronics/networks a plus.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
