Hansen Thorp Pellinen Olson, Inc. (HTPO) is looking for a Survey Field Technician for the 2024 summer season.
In a typical week you may:
- Assist crew chiefs with construction staking, quality control, contractor communications
- Manage electronic and written data
- Assist crew chiefs with field surveying, including boundary and topographic surveys, survey for designs, plats, CIC, etc.
- Assist with operation of equipment and instruments to measure, record, and calculate data
- Stock vehicles with survey supplies and equipment
You need to have:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to learn through on-the-job training
- Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written information
- Acceptable driving record, ability to commute daily, and valid Class D driver’s license
Physical requirements include:
- Ability to work extended hours, including some potential weekends, to accommodate Contractor’s schedule
- Ability to travel, including some overnight stays, if needed
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and terrain conditions
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending, carrying materials, and standing for long periods of time
