Diego Galvan was a first-generation college student in Mathematics with a minor in Physics. He was an OASIS Scholar, participated in the University Honors Program, conducted research with support from UCARE and his mentor, Professor Adam Larios, and served as Treasurer for our chapter of the Pi Mu Epsilon mathematics society. As a graduating senior, Diego applied for and received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. Diego is currently working on his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin.
