Vincent Trinh is a junior studying Software Engineering. This summer, he worked as a Cloud Support Associate Intern with Amazon. Thanks to his experience of networking with recruiters, Vincent landed this role, where he claims his “main responsibility is to become a sponge.”

“By that, I mean learning as much as I can. There are endless amounts of resources that are provided for interns to learn from,” said Vincent.

As a Cloud Support Associate Intern, Vincent’s experience mainly focused on Amazon Web Services. He was given the opportunity to gain certifications and work on project integration, while getting hands-on experience in labs.  These certifications are crucial for validating expertise in cloud technologies and are highly valued in the tech industry. Vincent's internship provided him with access to specialized training resources and labs where he could practice and apply his knowledge in real-time scenarios.

Vincent was relocated to Seattle for his role, where exploring the city and meeting new people became a highlight of his experience. Connecting with fellow interns and other professionals in the industry was a rewarding aspect of his experience.

“All the Amazonians that I have met have also been very welcoming and friendly, which made it easy to connect and meet people!” said Vincent.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Vincent is actively involved in the Vietnamese Student Association, where he contributes to fostering community and cultural engagement. Looking ahead, Vincent is eager to continue building his career in engineering, driven by his passion for technology and innovation.
