First Destination Survey (Student Outcomes Survey)
The First Destination Survey captures graduating students information regarding their plans upon completing their UNL degree. Students receive notification about the survey one month prior to graduation, as well as at the 3, 6, and 9-month mark after graduation. Take the survey to update us on your plans after graduation or see what other alumni have done after graduation.

Occupational Outlook Handbook
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is a federal agency under the United States Department of Labor that serves as the principal fact-finding agency for labor economics and statistics. Its primary mission is to collect, analyze, and disseminate essential economic data to support public and private decision-making related to labor market conditions, wages, inflation, productivity, and other economic indicators in the United States.
Handshake For Alumni
Accessing Handshake as an Alumni
- Enter your email, and click next. Your @husker.unl.edu email will be your username unless you updated your email on your Handshake account prior to graduating.
- Handshake will then ask you to enter your password. If you need to reset your password you will be given the option and the reset email will be sent to the email address in your profile.
Note: If you did not update you email prior to graduation and no longer have access to your @huskers.unl.edu email contact careerservices@unl.edu and provide them with the email you would like to have added to your Handshake account. Once staff have updated your email address, you will receive a password reset email to the new email address.
