GeSAB is a representative body analogous to the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) of the University but at the college level. GeSAB primarily involves graduate students affiliated with the COE at UNL and promotes student advocacy at the college level. GeSAB takes action around issues that concern COE graduate students. GeSAB:
- Serves as a liaison between COE graduate students and the college administration and faculty by advocating for students’ concerns, interests and by providing students’ perspectives.
- Promotes information exchange between the ASUN Graduate Student Assembly (ASUN-GSA), the departmental/schools engineering graduate student organizations, and the graduate students in the COE.
- Connects graduate students in the COE to help foster a broader sense of community through social activities, professional development, and community service.
