The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) at UNL provides an environment that supports the creative ideas of physicians-in-training, and connects students with pre-medical opportunities that help guide them along their path to medicine. AMSA serves as a forum for discussion of health issues and helps create change in the medical education process, in order to make it more responsive to the needs of students and society. Additionally, AMSA promotes and maintains programs that enhance the quality of health care in the community. Attending AMSA events will allow students to connect with physicians, nurses, advisors, and other health care professionals. AMSA events will also provide a chance to develop relationships with other pre-medical students and to identify volunteering or other opportunities to get involved in the community.
