The purpose of the UNL American Marketing Association (UNL AMA) shall be: to foster scientific study and research in the field of marketing; to develop sound thinking in marketing theory and exact knowledge and definition of marketing principles; to contribute to the improvement of the teaching of marketing; to develop better public understanding and appreciation for marketing problems; to record progress in marketing through the publication of outstanding papers; to encourage and uphold sound, honest practices, and to keep marketing work on a high ethical plane; to promote friendly relations between students, faculty, and business people.
