American Association of Public Health Dentistry

Our mission is to provide leadership in promoting oral health and disease prevention, for individuals and communities. In the creation of this chapter, we hope to bring awareness to current public health issues in the field of dentistry that effect our patient base at the College of Dentistry, as well as the greater Lincoln and Nebraska communities. As an acting branch of the national AAPHD, we strive to help alleviate barriers to care that exist for the diverse communities in our state. This chapter will also provide opportunities for our student members to exercise their interests in the field of public health via national AAPHD events, community outreach, and providing oral health education.
