The UNL Aerospace Club is a student-led organization consisting of six different design teams: Design Build Fly (DBF), Lunabotics (formerly RMC), Rocketry, Rocketry Project 100k, RockSat, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). While the Aerospace Club is an engineering-based organization, all UNL students of any discipline are welcomed to join and no prior experience is needed. Each team meets on a weekly basis and integrates engineering design principles, CAD software, and shop equipment into their team projects. Aside from learning and implementing technical skills, the Aerospace Club teaches its members how to become individuals who possess soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership. Every year, the Aerospace Club prides themselves in giving back to the community by directly engaging with middle and high school students across Nebraska to promote the STEM field.
