Location: Remote, USA

Internship Summary:

The Corporate Affairs team at Zoetis brings to life what differentiates Zoetis, amplifies what we stand for, and supports our relationships with stakeholders — from media and social influencers to trade organizations and policymakers. As a team, we partner across Zoetis to advance our business priorities and support and lead initiatives to advance and protect our reputation. In 2021, we will be focused on the following major initiatives. We are seeking a summer intern who will gain valuable professional experience by assisting with a variety of projects within these focus areas:

  • Corporate Brand: Build communications around our corporate purpose/brand and strategic priorities to energize colleagues, build customer relationships and create consistent differentiation globally
  • Sustainability: Integrate sustainability into our communications about our strategy, portfolio and company
  • Reputation Building: Build and protect our reputation to amplify and secure our position as the leader in animal health
  • Stakeholder Relations:
  • Support a favorable operating environment for Zoetis by building relationships with US and EU policymakers, trade associations and NGOs
  • Enhance a favorable operating environment for our customers through food chain relations, sustainability partnerships and veterinary well-being and education At Zoetis we are passionate about our customers and the animals in their care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team by writing and editing internal and external communications, including leader communications, talking points, intranet articles, press releases and social media posts
  • Assist with the rollout of a company brand refresh across print and digital content
  • Help manage our corporate social media platforms, including providing research and recommendations on how Zoetis Inc. might best utilize Instagram
  • Assist with content curation and posting for colleague social media ambassador program (Amplify)
  • Serve as a business analyst for the team, providing research, reporting, benchmarking and analyses to help us track the success of programs and campaigns make improvements as needed
  • Opportunity to produce and/or edit videos for use on internal and external channels

Internship Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently studying Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related Liberal Arts field Experience:
  • Interest in Communications or Digital Marketing
  • Interest in Public Affairs/Policy Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:
  • Knowledge of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram
  • Affinity for data analysis and research
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management and organization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with graphic design and/or video production a plus

Students who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited institution with a current class standing of sophomore or above and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible for internships at Zoetis. Students must also be 18 years of age or older prior to their scheduled start date, and be able to provide verification that they are enrolled in school and authorized to participate in an internship in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship. Students who are offered internships will need to successfully pass a drug screen and background check within 5 days of offer.
