The Scoular Company is seeking entrepreneurial individuals to start their careers as an agricultural commodity merchandiser. Scoular’s Merchandising Trainee Program immerses the individual in purchasing, selling, and transportation of ag commodities from producers, grain elevators and other domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities:

•Buy and sell grain or other feed and food ingredients

•Learn logistics and supply chain management

•Develop an operational understanding of risk management

•Assist management in the preparation of financial forecasts

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree; agriculture or business majors preferred

•Strong mathematical and analytical skills

•Outstanding skills in communication, customer service, problem solving, and sales

•Self-motivated, independent

•Strong understanding of agricultural commodity markets preferred

•Willingness to relocate
