The Scoular Company is seeking entrepreneurial individuals to learn more about agricultural commodity merchandising. Scoular’s Merchandising Internship immerses the individual in purchasing, selling, and transportation of agricultural commodities from producers, grain elevators and other domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities:

•Assist merchandisers with buying and selling grain or other food and feed ingredients

•Learn about logistics and supply chain management

•Develop an operational understanding of risk management

•Project development

Requirements:

•Pursuing a bachelor’s degree; agriculture or business majors preferred

•Junior status preferred

•Strong mathematical and analytical skills

•Self-motivated, independent

•Outstanding communication, customer-service, problem-solving, and sales skills

•Strong interest in agricultural commodity markets preferred
