Internship/Company Description: The Producers Guild of America is a non-profit trade organization that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team in film, television and new media. The Producers Guild works to protect the careers of producers and improve the producing community at large by facilitating health benefits for members, encouraging the enforcement of workplace labor laws and sustainable practices, creating fair and impartial standards for the awarding of producing credits, and hosting educational opportunities for new and experienced producers alike. The Guild has offices in Los Angeles and New York, but all staff are working remotely due to the pandemic. The internship duration is 10-12 weeks, depending on start/end date availability, and is fully remote and virtual. Our ideal candidate will be eager to take advantage of the many educational and social events the Guild has to offer – the internship is an opportunity to learn first-hand more about the diversity of producing film, television, and new media, as well as the operations of a non-profit entertainment trade organization. Interns will benefit from working across all departments in the Guild, can take advantage of virtual educational programs and screening events, and have access to special guest speakers in the Intern Mentor program. Intern duties include (but are not limited to): Communications & Member Services -Record and/or edit footage from virtual webinars and screening Q&As -Assist with the brainstorming and creation of posts for PGA social media channels -Design and editing of promotional materials including for the website and the Produced By Magazine Legal -Create materials to aid in the p.g.a. mark arbitration process -Perform research regarding releases, festivals and talent ahead of awards season Administrative: -General administrative assistance, including: updating databases; research projects; member services Position Requirements: -Applicants must be full/part-time students, available for the internship at least two full days a week. Recent graduates are not eligible to apply. -The candidate must be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, open to learning, and eager to take initiative especially given the remote environment -Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong social skills. Must exercise professional demeanor and discretion when communicating with members. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Drive apps -Design, production and editing skills, and related programs like Adobe Suite or something comparable Contact us: The internship is unpaid and interns must receive school credit in order to be eligible.
