Description

To assist with park functions which include: Food Service, Facility Maintenance, Entrance Booths, Grounds Maintenance, Security, Laundry Worker, Housekeeping, Horticulture and Wranglers. This position will focus on office support. Part-time or full-time hours are available.

This advertisement is for a temporary position that is expected to last 11 months from date of hire.

Work Location: Mahoney State Park, Ashland, Nebraska

Examples of Work

Schedule and confirm reservations for cabins, lodge rooms and campgrounds for guests by phone and/or in person. Check park guests in/out of lodging and provide park information and related services to visitors by phone or in person. Sell park entry permits and resale items. Monitor desk switchboard and communicate maintenance needs to staff. Operate various office machines such as computer, copier, calculator and fax machine. Candidate may perform other temporary park duties as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, or related coursework/training.

OTHER: May require a valid driver’s license.

Ability to work with the public and provide requested information in a clear and courteous manner; file and retrieve records using established computer system; handle multiple tasks; operate computer reservation and POS systems; maintain records.
