The Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kearney is looking for dedicated Teammates to work the overnight shift, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Full Time and Part Time shifts available. Youth Program Specialists earn $17.00/hour plus shift differential. Our employees receive excellent benefits that include health insurance, retirement, and paid leave. As a Youth Program Specialist II working the overnight shift, you will supervise youth as they sleep, respond to youth who need assistance, and help youth get up in the morning and prepare for their day. In addition, you will document behavior, respond to crisis situations, and serve as a role model to the youth. May be required to transport youth. Work will include physical stamina/strength, standing, walking, and occasional lifting and the ability to physically intervene if needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. PREFERRED: Coursework/training in; social work, criminal justice, counseling and guidance, human development and the family, psychology, mental health care, education, social/behavioral sciences, human services or related area; OR Experience in: child or youth care, teaching, foster care delinquency prevention, juvenile court systems, community work related to children and youth, behavioral health systems, patient care, nursing or other areas involving contact or interaction with youth or families.
