Internship Expires March 20, 2021

If you like working outdoors, have a farming background or if you want to see the subjects you’ve been studying in a real world scenario, you should be interested in applying for an internship with Long Agronomics.

Long Agronomics, Inc. is a crop consulting company located in Upland, Nebraska. As a summer intern you will benefit from hands on experience with some of the latest technology available in crop production as well as getting a first hand look at some of the most intensely managed and highly productive crop production in the state.

You and your supervising agronomist will work together one on one and scout fields as a team. You will assist your supervisor in collecting data from contracted fields so that we may help our clients make environmentally and economically sound decisions. Duties include plant population counts, weed, insect and disease scouting, irrigation scheduling, and general crop observations. Your supervising agronomist will teach the proper methods necessary to complete all of these tasks.

Long Agronomics, Inc. has been in the industry for several decades and we have a great relationship with all representatives in the seed, chemical and fertilizer industries. An internship with us looks good on your resume and will create a positive image of your work ethic and your in field experience.

Wages are above average within the industry. Average work week is from 50 to 60 hours. Travel will be minimal as you will meet your supervising agronomist at the start of each day. Living arrangements can be provided. Please contact Pat Long (Owner) at: (308)-830-1498 or plong5150@gmail.com for more information.
