We are seeking an undergraduate student or masters students in Fine Arts with an interest in collaborating in the design of particular illustrations and/or applying relevant photographic – technological imagery (or other relevant art forms and mediums) to be incorporated in a children’s book.
Background: students who may have an interest in helping conceptualize and execute 15 – 20+ illustrations and/or photographic images, etc. to accompany a children’s book being authored by Dr. Deb Moberly
Who We Are: we are retired university professors (having served in universities in IL, TN, and MO) and are really nice people. We now reside in Seward, NE near our son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters
We Are Developing: a book(s) for young children (ages 3 – 5+) to be read by children or read with children by siblings, adults, parents, etc.
We Are Seeking: a university upper-class undergrad or graduate student who would enjoy this collaborative experience with negotiated remuneration (pay) and/or personal outcome (professional credit).
The individual selection is obliged to be receptive to:
- reviewing manuscripts
- engage in respectful discussions with creativity and imagination
- use background knowledge of technology perspectives
- the design of illustrations, photographic portrayals to accompany the vision (scenes, scenarios, and circumstances relative to the book’s narrative and dialogue)
Book & Project Background: the book is based on a series of actual and comical events as told to Dr. Deb Moberly:
- by a family residing in a Victorian home in Missouri, along with their pets and various urban critters. Includes various solvable mysteries conveyed through the lens of two pets
Timeline: we envision this project evolving from discussion and preparation states to execution over 60+ days
