Meet, Greet, and Teach the World
If you want a shot at one of the most enriching internships available,
consider spending 8 – 10 hours a week with Lincoln Literacy this
summer. If selected, you’ll be trained to teach English as an instructor
in online and in-person small-group classes of refugees and immigrants. You may also
be selected to work with children in our FLAIR family literacy program.
You’ll be part of an international team at one of Lincoln’s most
respected nonprofits. Schedule can usually be individualized to
accommodate other activities, such as school and employment.
This is an unpaid internship, but it provides a valuable and satisfying
experience. To get an idea of what it’s like, watch this short video by
one of our UNL summer interns: https://youtu.be/rRskwtAKA5U . To
