THE POSITION:
We’re looking for adults in their early career stage who have completed an accredited post-secondary degree, value global ministry, and are collaborative.
The Human Resources Fellow will play an integral role in the JAARS HR department by supporting the current HR team and JAARS managers in talent acquisition and HR processes. He or she will become familiar with the life cycle of a staff member from application to exit interview, along with HR practice and policy.
Fellows receive the following compensation and benefits:
- $10 an hour
- An eleven-month program featuring structured mentorship and ongoing professional development

THE LOCATION:
JAARS Fellows will need to live on campus in Waxhaw, NC. The area is a 40 minute drive from Charlotte, NC, and is known as one of the best places to live in North Carolina. With its mild winters, small town main street, and proximity to both urban centers and outdoor recreation, Waxhaw is the place to be.

WHAT SUCCESS AS A FELLOW LOOKS LIKE:
By the end of the eleven-month fellowship, The HR Fellow will have:
- Served as the point-person on logistics, applications, and screenings for the subsequent Fellows Cohort.
- Worked on a multi-generational team and developed necessary skills to be both an active listener and contributor on a diverse team.
- Completed/Implemented their assigned special project from the HR Director.
- Learned applicable life skills.
- Received guidance on next steps and know which step to take toward their professional goals.
