IntelinAir delivers actionable intelligence from aerial data (drones, aircraft, satellite) for quick decision-making in mission critical applications. We deliver precision imaging and real-time data analysis to solve the most challenging problems. We combine the power of aerial imagery analytics through computer vision and deep learning methodologies, agronomic science and user-friendly interface technologies to deliver near real-time decision support to farmers around issues of emergence, early-season weeds, nutrient deficiencies, weather damage, water stress, insect infestations, and more. As a startup, we have a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment with offices in Yerevan, Armenia, Champaign, IL, and San Jose, CA. This graduate internship is an opportunity to work with a vast amount of image data and push the limit of what computer vision and machine learning can do in agriculture while operating in a friendly and fast-paced startup environment. Last year work from our summer internships led to publications at AAAI and Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence.
Our data is:
· Big: We capture high-resolution aerial imagery with individual images containing over 3M pixels
· Deep: In 2020 alone we will collect over 1PB of data
· Multi-Spectral and Multi-Sensor: In addition to RGB we have NIR, thermal, topological, soil, and planting data
· Temporal: We gather data multiple times across the year to understand the complete seasonal evolution
· View a (very small) sample of our data at https://www.agriculture-vision.com/dataset
Responsibilities
· Work with terabytes of image data to deliver cutting-edge computer vision and deep learning solutions for real-world problems
· Contribute to both the research and development efforts including publishing papers/patents and delivering results
· Collaborate with our agronomists, annotators, engineers, and other experts
Required qualifications
· Currently pursuing an MS or PhD (preferred) in computer science, machine learning, physics, mathematics, statistics, or related technical field
