Goodwill NNE is currently recruiting for NHCCCC AmeriCorps VISTA members to serve in NH. Members will serve to meet the immediate needs of their homebound neighbors through strengthening the state’s social and civic infrastructure and mobilizing volunteers.
Members will serve in a variety of areas, such as:
• Health – COVID testing education, contact tracing
• Community support- system development to mobilize organizations/resources/volunteers- developing outreach materials/social media/recruiting volunteers/organizing open space for community members to be heard, have questions answered, deliver resources/organize larger events with other nonprofits
• Emergency management/mitigating risk- connecting different non-profits to meet community needs (network of non-profits who might be at capacity/have higher need); research around what other organizations are doing to mitigate risk, needs, and who is at capacity – connecting these organizations/general emergency management planning and program development
• Neighborhood assistance– program development for at-risk youth; outreach to replicate programming throughout the state
AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly living allowance throughout the course of the 12 month term . Upon completion of their term, members receive a $6,195 Education Award, which can be put toward eligible student loan payments or future education costs.
Sites include the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Manchester (Manchester, NH), Nashua PAL (Nashua, NH), Upper Valley and Greater Sullivan Regional Public Health Network (Lebanon).
