This position is based at the Exact Sciences Corporate warehouse locations.
The Warehouse Intern will assist or complete a variety of Materials Management of Operations functions including incoming material receipt and inspection, inventory cycle counting, SAP data entry, internal inventory requests, shipping, receiving, and distribution of goods and supplies. The position will work within defined protocols and procedures and may aid in the development and documentation of new procedures for the department.
Include but are not limited to the following:
· Project Support
o Assists with process design and development, and data gathering for on-going projects.
· Shipping and Receiving
o Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming materials.
o Follows applicable SOPs for the processing of materials in SAP and through the Receiving Inspection system. Labels materials accordingly.
o Contacts appropriate person/department with receipt details as applicable.
o Places materials in inventory, delivers goods or coordinates pickup of materials.
o Supports the troubleshooting of inventory and receipt discrepancies.
o Assists in documenting all problems noticed in the initial inspection. The documentation may include pictures, notations on Bill of Ladings, driver’s notation and notations on packing slips.
o Complies with Nonconforming Material Reports and ensures nonconforming materials are appropriately labeled and segregated per directives.
o Facilitates shipment of outgoing materials or products.
o Supports Clinical studies by following the proper work instructions and shipping guidelines for each study. Processes in SAP for shipment.
o Packages and processes materials to be shipped in a manner consistent with IATA, DOT and International Customs regulations. Labels packages accordingly. Works with other Warehouse associates to ensure proper work accompanies each shipment.
· Materials Management – support Materials Management department by:
o Works with the Inventory Management department to adhere to warehouse organization guidelines, restocking policies, and housekeeping.

· Physical Requirements
o Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 10% of a typical working day.
o Ability to work seated for approximately 50% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.
o Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 75% of a typical working day.
o Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
o Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
· Travel Requirements
o Ability and means to travel between Madison warehouse locations on an occasional basis.
· Currently enrolled in college pursuing degree in related field.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
o Ability to communicate using in-house software such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Skype.
· Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
· Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Experience with business software. SAP is a plus.
- Material handling experience.
