Dr. David Wilson’s Biomedical Imaging Lab is looking for a part-time employee to develop a Python based application for medical imaging and ophthalmology research projects. The software will need to analyze large volumes of medical images for the development of machine learning and deep learning algorithms for clinical and industry purposes. The individual will have the flexibility to work remotely, can set their own hours (20+ hours a week), and engagement can lead to inclusion on publications. This project will involve collaborations with team members, including experts in image processing and deep learning, and clinical experts to identify software requirements, provide timely progress updates, and be able to deliver an initial working version by June. Develop user-friendly software applications written in Python, with a focus on image processing, registration, segmentation.
Assist our team in implementing a collection of algorithms for image processing in Python.
Implement software requirements, software architecture, design specifications including detailed design descriptions, and imaging features in Python.
Develop and execute unit and integration, software system verification and validation tests, and write reports.
2 years of experience in python development
Experience with data structure to parse and analyze large volume of data
Familiarity with medical image processing (optional)
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to work independently but in coordination with others
Part-time and remote working are possible.
