CAI is seeking multiple Quality Assurance Analysts in Florence, KY

In 2013, Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI) launched their Autism 2Work Program with a strategic mission of helping the underemployment of many affected with ASD (Autism Spectrum) that are looking for opportunities where they can do more, learn more and develop a career in Information Technology. This ground-breaking Initiative employs IT professionals that have been affected by Autism. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a diagnosis which is on the Autism Spectrum.

Job Profile Summary

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst requires knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out quality testing of complex software applications, and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles of software quality. Works as part of the Quality Assurance team, interacting with others in accomplishing the objectives and making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of information. Must be able to communicate in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided.

Responsibilities:

· The role is responsible for running complex test scripts and documenting findings in the form of test reports

· Prepares nonconformance reports and communicates nonconformance to Quality Assurance peers and development team members

· Tracks nonconformance items and ensures items are resolved before project moves to production.

· Gathers, maintains, and reports on quality metrics.

· Develops good understanding of Quality Assurance procedures and concepts within own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.

· Requires a good understanding of how the Quality Assurance team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.

· Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

· Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

· Basic level experience in an IT Quality role

· Troubleshooting skills – able to identify problems by attacking them from different angles

· Ability to understand and write/update Functional and Technical documentation

· Ability to manage tasks, escalating when appropriate

· Background in Software, IT, or a quantitative field of study

· Experience or knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Reporting skills, proficient in creating status report

· Good customer focus, attitude, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Education:

· Associates degree or equivalent experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to self-disclose that you have a diagnosis or can attest to known affects within the Autism Spectrum (ASD)
  • Ability to participate in an 8-day virtual training session for the position consideration, in preparation for the February start.
  • This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship.
