The Head Impact and Trauma Surveillance Study (HITSS)
Boston University (BU) Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center, BU School of Medicine
We are seeking a talented, creative individual to oversee all marketing, advertising, and social media activities to recruit former soccer and football players from across the country to participate in a groundbreaking longitudinal research study, conducted entirely online.
2-Year Minimum Commitment, 3 or 4 Years Preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Health/Science Communication, Sports Management/Marketing, Public Health, or a related field
- Social media marketing experience
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills
- Proven excellence as a team player
- Previous experience in clinical research setting is preferred
Responsibilities and Description
- Develop and oversee a national, multimodal (social media, print, broadcast and streaming television/radio, other) outreach and marketing program
- Successfully recruit 1800 former soccer players (900 women, 900 men) and 1800 former American football players (all men), across levels of play (high school, college, or elite/professional), ages 40-75
- Supervise research/recruitment assistants/interns
- Work closely with advertising firms, the Concussion Legacy Foundation, and consulting former athletes
- Work closely with the HITSS study coordinator, principal investigators, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, other investigators, and IT staff
