Job Overview

The Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) is an exempt position responsible for maintaining excellent clinical standards set forth by BlueSprig. This role also serves as both external and internal relationship management to maximize the outcomes for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the creation and oversight of the implementation of treatment programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Clinical Supervisor role is a key position within the BlueSprig organization, building strong relationships with clients, employees, and other stakeholders to provide excellence in ABA Therapy. The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Clinical Director.

How will I make a difference in a child’s life?

Job Responsibilities)

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Create and oversee the implementation of treatment programs based on the principles of ABA.
  • Provide family guidance that meets payor guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver specific intervention activities according to the treatment plan.
  • Monitor development of clients across all settings by graphing and analyzing data.
  • Under the guidance of the clinical leadership team, develop and implement new programs and perform ongoing adjustments to current programs as needed.
  • Provide supervision to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) as required.
  • Produce progress reports and treatment plans to meet the requirements and submission timelines of regulatory agencies and funding sources.
  • Provide coordination of care by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Function as a liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, health care providers, etc.
  • Fulfill authorization utilization requirements to ensure clients receive all recommended services.
  • Lead and attend staff meetings.
  • Work with the clinical leadership team to implement and manage ongoing staff training under your supervision.
  • Mentor and support staff. Write performance evaluations for BTs and RBTs, create and track goals, and communicate goal progress regularly.
  • Provide supervision experience hours for BCaBA and BCBA candidates as required.
  • Periodically travel to various locations (e.g., homes and community) as part of the oversight of clients’ treatment programs.
  • Follow all policies and procedures, including but not limited to, confidentially and mandated reporting standards as set by the BlueSprig clinical team.

How do I know my experience is a good fit?

(Job Requirements)

  • Master’s Degree or higher in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
  • At least two years of related professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary team setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with the field of early intervention preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of scientifically-validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD.
  • Experience writing applied behavior analytic programs and analyzing and graphing data.
  • Familiar with current related research findings.
  • Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with ASD.
  • Understanding of insurance practices within the medical model.
  • Valid CPR certification and other medical and training requirements as specified by Blue Sprig payors.
  • Ability to pass background clearance and reference checks.
  • Works with integrity and ethically and follows the BACB Ethical Code.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing, bilingual a plus.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and spend time on your feet as well as an ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
