Blank Park ZooSummer 2021 Commissary InternshipThe Blank Park Zoo is now accepting applications for the Summer 2021 commissary internship. Internships are open to hard working, motivated candidates considering a career in zoo keeping or animal nutrition. Internships are unpaid; housing and transportation are the responsibility of the intern. Summer intern dates are as follows: May 31st – August 7th, 2021.Description of intern duties & responsibilities: Assist commissary staff with daily dutiesThis includes diet preparation, cleaning, disinfections, and stockingDedicated intern that is willing be at the Zoo at least two days a week from 8:30 – 4:00pmShowing up on time and when scheduledLearning diet preparation and sanitation practicesCleaning kitchen and feed storage areasSeasonally – assist with gardenReporting any problems to the commissary staffRequirements:18 years or older, currently enrolled in college and receiving college credit for the internship.On the first day of orientation interns must provide proof from their university that the internship will be for college credit.
