Join Us for One of Our Upcoming Handshake Demonstrations!

Using Handshake as an Employer - attend one of the following sessions to learn more about the Handshake employer experience and using Handshake to recruit candidates for your part-time jobs, internships and full-time opportunities. The demonstration will include:

  • Accessing Handshake Support
  • Logging in
  • Selecting schools
  • Posting opportunities: including part-time student employment positions, internships, graduate assistantships, full-time jobs, etc.
  • Accepting applications within and/or outside of Handshake
  • Posting events
  • Searching for potential candidates
  • Messaging potential candidates and applicants
  • Reviewing and selecting applicants

Using Handshake to Advise Students – attend one of the following sessions to learn more about the Handshake Student Experience and if you will be demonstrating how to use Handshake to your students, searching for relevant opportunities to share with your students, etc.  The demonstration will include:

  • Accessing Handshake Support
  • Logging in
  • How students can:
    • Activate their account and/or log in
    • Set up a profile
    • View resources
    • Search and research employers
    • Search for opportunities
    • Apply for opportunities
    • Search and register for events
    • Connect with peers

Using Handshake as an Employer - Demonstration in a Computer Lab:
Career Services Staff will be available at the Computer Lab 30 minutes before each session and again for 60 minutes after each session for one on one assistance.
Using Handshake as an Employer - Demonstration in a Meeting Room:
You are encouraged to bring your laptop to the demonstration. Career Services Staff will have one or two laptops and be available for 30 minutes before each session and again for 60 minutes after each session for one on one assistance.
Using Handshake to Advise Students - Demonstration in a Computer Lab:
Career Services Staff will be available at the Computer Lab 30 minutes before each session and again for 60 minutes after each session for one on one assistance.
Using Handshake to Advise Students - Demonstration in a Meeting Room:
You are encouraged to bring your laptop to the demonstration. Career Services Staff will have one or two laptops and be available for 30 minutes before each session and again for 60 minutes after each session for one on one assistance.

Note: The Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center Computer lab has limited seating. As we reach capacity for each demonstration we will be in touch regarding computer availability and table-only availability.
