FYRE Experience

Welcome to the First Year Research Experience (FYRE) Experience Directory! Reference this list to choose your Job Preferences on the FYRE online application form.

By default, the directory shows all available FYRE Experiences, with many options for all majors and career interests! Your task is to customize this list to match your unique interests.

  1. To narrow and filter your search, please select “See More Filters” and choose one or more Career Interest Community tags. (Career Interest Communities are industry-themed groups that help you explore your areas of interest and potential career pathways.) Then push the “Apply Filters” button.
  2. Once you have your filtered list, click “Learn More” on each listing to display detailed information about job tasks, qualifications, and training! These details will help you decide which FYRE Experiences are best for you.
  3. Enter up to 3 Job Preferences on your FYRE online application and submit!

Please direct questions to Kali Patterson, Project Coordinator, at ucare@unl.edu.
