  • Dress Code Expectations for Students
Business casual looks different for everyone. You could see students in a polo and slacks or you might see some in three-piece suits. As we all know, business clothes can be costly, especially on a college budget. This is why we do not have a formal dress code for the event to promote an equitable fair experience.
  • Handshake-Free Zone
As part of our COVID-19 mitigation efforts, we are requesting that the career fair is a No-Handshake Zone. We ask that all employers and students embrace head nods, elbow taps, and general greetings in place of the traditional handshake.
  • Attending Tomorrow’s Career Fair on East Campus?
      • If you are attending tomorrow’s career fair on East Campus you have a number of options for your booth contents:

    1. You can take your booth supplies with you this evening and then drop them off at the East Campus Drop Off Zone tomorrow morning before parking at the Innovation Campus parking lot (see tomorrow’s Day-of-Fair Details to learn more).

    2. You can take your booth supplies over to East Campus Union’s Great Plain Room this evening (Thursday evening) between 4-6pm and set up your booth, giving you an easier Friday morning set-up experience, considering the earlier Friday fair start time of 10:00 am.

    3. You can package up your booth supplies, clearly mark them with your company name, and grab a Career Services package volunteer to assist you.  A volunteer can then help load your supplies into a UNL vehicle taking supplies over to East Campus. Volunteers would deliver your booth supplies to your Friday booth location so that they would be ready for you to set up on Friday morning. We ask that any expensive or fragile booth supplies be transported only by employer reps.

*note: check out tomorrow’s Day-of-Fair Details to get the East Campus parking and flow information to ensure you have a smooth arrival and check-in process here (add link once finished).  You can also view your booth placement at tomorrow’s event via the Career Fair Plus app (if on today’s fair screen click the bottom +More tab and select Change Events to get to tomorrow’s fair.

  • Shipping
If you are needing to ship packages after the fair, packages can be dropped off at convenient nearby downtown shipping locations. If you are unable to drop off your packages and need to a package pick-up, you must adhere completed shipping labels to all packages to be shipped and call your provider to request a pick-up.  Once you have called to schedule a package pick-up, you can place the package at the designated shipping location inside of the Career Services office in room 225 in the Union.
  • Need a Quiet Space
Need to take a quick call during the fair?  The Regency Room, located near the initial Health Check-in Station will be open for employers to utilize for phone calls, emails, etc.
