Spring Meadow Nursery Inc. is currently seeking a detail oriented team player to join our accounting team. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a flexible schedule or currently in school, starting in January through June.
The accounting clerk position, under general supervision, is responsible for providing accounting support and performing a variety of accounting and clerical functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable/Billing
- Assist with processing customer credit applications
- Process packing slips/bills of lading/freight prices
- Prepare and send customer invoices
- Assist with processing and applying customer payments
- Accounts Payable
- Process and enter carrier freight bills & other vendor invoices
- Assist with monthly credit card statement reconciliation
- Fixed Assets
- Assemble and organize accounts payable invoices for fixed asset support
- Reconcile fixed asset invoices to general ledger
- General Office Duties – Mail and filing as needed
- Projects – Complete various accounting projects as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business or relevant coursework completed toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business; An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office – (Word, Excel, etc.); experience with Microsoft NAV a plus
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Organized and accurate with attention to detail and an aptitude for numbers
- Effective problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time efficiently
Performance Requirements:
- Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a “Meets Expectations” in all areas of your performance evaluations (including but not limited to, Self and Management reviews).

Job Type: Part-time & Seasonal – 20 hours per week (January-March) and up to 30 hours per week (April-June), additional hours as necessary
Pay: starting at $17.00 per hour, dependent upon experience. Amount is not inclusive of total compensation package.
