Job Function:
Allow students an opportunity to apply classroom concepts and theory to real world scenarios at a full-line John Deere Ag Dealership by completing various tasks and goals assigned to them in Parts, Service, Integrated Solutions and Sales Departments. Highly focused on the application of Precision Agriculture to each of these areas in the dealership.
Essential Goals and Structure:
• Gain an overview and general operation practices of AMS products by job shadowing a current Customer Technology Specialist (CTS).
• Gain an overview and general understanding of the Agronomic and Irrigation Technology Specialist’s position and assist in some projects involving this position.
• Upon completion the Intern will have the knowledge to install and complete basic set-up to a wide variety of AMS products in various platforms.
• The intern will be able to train a new operator on the theory and fundamentals of operation, explain the features and benefits of the product, and operate the product in a variety of environments.
• Set-up, installation and maintenance of John Deere Field Connect Systems
• Develop and complete a training strategy around bringing myjohndeere.com and Wireless Data Transfer to the employees and key customers at each of the 10 locations.
Location
Based out of Holdrege, NE with travel to all 16 LandMark Locations, if travel is required these trips will be completed during the course of the business day. LandMark will provide a company vehicle, laptop computer, and cell phone for use during the business day.
