KFI is a highly agile, matrixed organization with dozens of projects active at any one time, many of which are strategic and high priority. The KFI includes professionals from diverse disciplines including industrial/organizational, quantitative, and educational psychology; sociology; neuroscience; and data science. As such, this role may require collaboration across research, thought leadership, data, analytics, IP, and measurement areas, and projects may involve multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
Our new 10-week global internship program is part of Korn Ferry Launch, which is an early-career development program created to give interns and recent graduates a head start in their professional life. It’s an invaluable learning experience that could be the fast track to a rewarding long-term career at Korn Ferry.

The Korn Ferry Global Internship Program is open to rising juniors and seniors from any academic major, as well as candidates earning post graduate degrees. Students who are tracking towards a 3.0 GPA or above and who are graduating in the Spring of 2025 are encouraged to apply to our internship program. This is a hybrid working opportunity and is structured for you to work in one of our three North American city office locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Korn Ferry Institute optimizes the success of people, teams, and organizations. We do this by empowering Korn Ferry to deliver the highest client value through research-based insights, innovative intellectual property (IP) development, and leading-edge data analytics.
Our IP team develops, updates, and innovates work design and measurement, assessment, and development solutions at the individual, team, and organization levels.
The role involves working with our IP team’s leaders and professionals to contribute to the update of our core assessment content and leadership development frameworks.
Responsibilities may include:
- Conduct primary research, analyzing data previously collected with our proprietary assessment tools to assist with their update.
- Understand, organize, and prepare data.
- Partner with a lead assessment scientist to determine quantitative analytics plan.
- Execute analyses using statistics software, such as R or SPSS.
- Work with experts to interpret findings and make recommendations for changes to IP.
- Document findings and partner with experts to summarize results.
- Conduct research to update models of effective leadership development and behavior change.
- Outline and brainstorm disciplines and approaches where leadership development is studied.
- Search scholarly databases for relevant research.
- Collect ideas and information from Korn Ferry subject matter experts.
- Compile, evaluate, and integrate taxonomies and frameworks describing the activities and support needed for effective leadership development.
- Document findings and partner with experts to summarize results.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled and working towards an undergraduate or master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology or related field from an accredited college/university.
- Students who are tracking towards a 3.0 GPA or above and who are graduating in the Spring of 2025 are encouraged to apply to our internship program. This is a hybrid working opportunity and is structured for you to work in one of our three North American city office locations.
- Knowledge of statistics, including correlations, regression, factor analysis and/or other multivariate analytics.
- Skill using statistical analysis software such as SPSS or R.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities, such as successfully managing strong academics with extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to search for, identify, and prioritize relevant scientific and professional literature.
- Ability to review, synthesize and summarize relevant scientific and professional literature to communicate key information to other professionals.
- General understanding of job performance models and predictors of people’s success at work.
- Experience collaborating with others on projects.
