PURCHASING INTERNSHIP
Supports Supply Chain and Delivery efforts in order to further improve material availability status. The candidate will engage in the development of standardized processes to proactively identify risk of material shortage as well as reporting and monitoring for necessary corrective actions. The candidate will also support buyers in the sourcing of components for upcoming program launches.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. 30%
Visualization and performance tracking/sharing of delivery problem suppliers
· Creating action plans
· Obtain and analyze CV-P delivery delay supplier SAP data (includes reason/root cause)
· Extraction of suppliers with frequent delivery delays
· Survey of suppliers with frequent delivery delays, deep digging
· Delivery problem Supplier evaluation standard setting & assign rating
· Create and share supplier delivery evaluation scores on a monthly basis (rating)
· Visit the worst suppliers and start improvement guidance
· Understanding the progress of improvement of supplier delivery evaluation score
2. 30%
Supplier performance tracking system creation/update of overseas procured products by suppliers
· Creating an action plan
· Questionnaire (part name, country of procurement, form of procurement, etc.)
· Questionnaire issuance-collection
· DB (Excel spreadsheet) creation/update
· Implementation of regular maintenance
3. 30 %
Conducting a survey by utilizing the 12-month advance VOL
· Creating an action plan
· Get 12 months VOL
· Issuance of supplier survey
· Supplier survey receipt
· Extraction of problem suppliers
· Visiting and investigating problem suppliers
· Creation and sharing of survey result reports

Purchasing support
· Commodity benchmarking
· Supplier benchmarking
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to: Director Purchasing
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- Enrollment in accredited university, majoring in Supply Chain or related major; maintain “B” or better average
KNOWLEDGE:
- General Understanding business practices
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Basic PC skills in Windows applications
- Valid driver license with good record
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Employee must be able to perform occasional light lifting (5 – 25 lbs.) and rare heavy lifting (60 lbs.).
Must be able on rare occasions to bend, crawl, climb, crouch, kneel and reach above shoulder level in the performance of job duties.
